Biography
John Cook was born in Hollywood, California in 1947. He studied with internationally known glass artist John Burton for two years after which Cook received a scholarship to Brooks Institute of Fine Art and graduated with honors in 1972 receiving his B.F.A. Santa Barbara, CA was home to John Cook Studios until 1991 when the studio and Cook family relocated to Oregon. John lives and maintains a studio and gallery in the small coastal town of Gearhart, Oregon. His current work is an eclectic mix of vases, bowls, and perfume bottles. John also does pieces based on floral motifs. John has exhibited in many galleries and museums, nationally and internationally.
