Printmaker / Designer / Artist
My art is about color and shape, pattern, movement and line. Ideas can stem from small details, a landscape, an animal or even a shadow. Once the composition is laid out, the color begins! Currently I am working mostly in larger watercolors, also making some giclée prints and cards from my work.
I was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. I graduated from the University of Minnesota majoring in Interior Design with a minor in Studio Art. I worked as a designer/draftsman and interior designer before settling down to raise our three children and "do art". My husband and I have made our home in Anchorage, Alaska since Easter weekend of 1970. Our leisure time is filled with skiing, hiking, and travel.
