August 2007 First Friday: Gordon, McCormick, and Walker
Come to Artique on August 3rd from 5 to 7 pm for our First Friday opening reception. Steven Gordon, painter of big and bold Alaskan landscapes, will be showing all new oil paintings. He is joined by jeweler Lisa McCormick and her exquisite designs, as well as the bright fish mosaics of Cammie Walker.

Biography
Since 1988, self-taught artist Lisa McCormick has been inspired by the rugged beauty of her surroundings on Kodiak Island, Alaska. From the sanctuary of her studio, she conceives, designs and fabricates striking “modern day artifacts”. The stones and gems are individually selected and set, enhancing their unique colors and movement.
Lisa’s artwork is indeed timeless and truly an extension of herself. She hopes the wearer will attach their individual feelings and spirit to each piece.
