Biography
Polly Lewis is an Alaskan fiber artist. Her inspiration comes from vintage kimono fabrics, which she collects and combines with wool and other fine fabrics to create purses that are both beautiful and functional. The details of the purses add to their elegance; they feature vintage button closures and are lined with pretty coordinating prints. In addition to her kimono fabric purses, Polly creates fabulous fabric pins, often stitched with metallic threads and embellished with a few glass beads. Lewis recently retired from a career teaching art at an Anchorage elementary school.
