Silver and Copper
Rick Potter is a Chugiak jewelry artist working in the Japanese style of "mokume gane". In Japanese, mokume gane means "wood grain metal". Alternating layers of sterling silver and copper are bonded together. The patterns are produced by carving, bumping, filing and rolling. This exposes the thin layers within the laminate as alternating light and dark patterns.
